The SSB jawan is being questioned by the police. The police are investigating the reason for running away with the weapon from the said jawan. The officers posted in the 14th Corps of SSB have been informed by the police.

On 13 October in the Kashmir Valley, two security personnel, including a BSB jawan, escaped with their government weapons. Taking cognizance of both these cases, the police had conducted a massive search operation to locate the missing security personnel.

The missing SPO is reported to have allegedly joined Jaish-e-Mohammed. This is the first case of a policeman absconding with arms and meeting terrorists this year.

Police have launched an operation in the entire Kashmir Valley to search for the missing SPO, but the SPO has not been detected so far. The help of army personnel is also being sought in this regard.

Altaf Hussain is a resident of Rehan Kotranka in Rajouri district. The commandant of his Corps informed the concerned police station last Wednesday morning and requested to register an FIR.
