Budgam police saved six teenagers from becoming terrorists, handed them over to relatives after counseling: Kashmir.

Six teenagers of Budgam, who had become terrorists, misled by the propaganda of anti-national elements, were saved from destruction on Tuesday due to the alertness of the police.

The police today handed over all of them to their family members after counseling. Meanwhile, security forces have destroyed a terrorist hideout in Kamala (Tral, Pulwama) forest in South Kashmir.

A police spokesperson said that the Badgam police had come to know through its system that the six teenagers were ready to become terrorists in the next few days.

They are in constant contact with the terrorists’ motivators. They are also associated with jihadi organizations through Internet media.

SSP Budgam Tahir Salim Khan himself supervised the matter and soon identified these six boys. These boys were summoned immediately and their counseling was done.

All these boys were then handed over to their family members in the presence of distinguished citizens of the area.

SSP Budgam said that we have also identified the elements pushing these boys towards terrorism, they will be captured soon.

We have urged their family members to communicate regularly with their children, to monitor their activities. They invest their energy in creative activities.

If we were a little late, then these 6 teenagers, who are in the age group of 13-15 years, would have been in the terrorist organization and would have been killed a few days later.

Meanwhile, security forces launched a search this morning in Pulwama district on the information about the hideout of the terrorists in the Kamala forest adjacent to the Tral.

This campaign continued for about four hours. During this time, the security forces found a terrorist hideout in a place in the forest and destroyed it.

Before destroying the security forces also seized ration and other equipment from the terrorist hideout.

The concerned sources said that the militants may have got a glimpse of the influx of security forces and have already escaped from there.
