Giving information, officials said that the CBI has arrested an executive director of GAIL in the case of taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakh. Bribes were paid to favor some contractors in gas pipeline projects.
Advance Infrastructure Director Surendra Kumar was also arrested.
According to the CBI official, apart from GAIL Executive Director KB Singh, four other people have also been arrested, including Surendra Kumar, Director of Advance Infrastructures, Vadodara.
He is accused of paying bribes for two gas pipeline projects (GAIL Pipeline Projects). After which the CBI took action in this case on Monday and arrested five people.
