Chargesheet Filed Against 3 OGWs For Plotting IED Blast

Chargesheet filed against 3 OGWs for plotting IED blast in Jammu on the anniversary of Pulwama attack.

On the second anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, the Jammu Police has filed a chargesheet in the court against 3 members of the Al-Badr terrorist organization, who conspired to terrorize Jammu city with IED.

The three terrorists Suhail Bashir Shah resident of Pulwama, Abdullah Shakeel Khan resident of Neva Pulwama, and Rahil Hussain Bhatt resident of Wanpura, Pulwama were arrested by the Jammu Police.

All three are currently lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail.

In the charge sheet filed in the court, the police said that the terrorist organization Al-Badar had assigned the three to carry out IED blasts at three to four places in Jammu city.

Terrorists had come to Jammu with IEDs from Kashmir. On the day of the incident i.e. on February 14 this year, the bus stand police had put up a Naka in the Indra Chowk area.

During this Sohail Bashir Shah was passing from there. Sohail was holding a black bag in his hand.

Seeing the police personnel, he started running towards Indra Chowk. Police personnel chased him as his activities were suspicious. He was stopped near KC Chowk crossing.

When the bag that Sohail had caught was opened, 6.5 kg IED was recovered from inside it.

Sohail had come to place this IED in the bus stand area. After his revelations, the police arrested two of Sohail’s associates.

Both of them were also involved in the conspiracy. After interrogating the three and gathering clues against them, the Jammu Police presented the challan of the case.

A copy of the challan has also been given to the three terrorists. Sources say that with the help of these three, the police are also engaged in locating the network of Al-Badar in Jammu and Srinagar.

Although all three used to work as overground workers for the organization, through how they were in contact with the organization, efforts are also being made to trace other people associated with them.

The stadium was taken under their supervision by the security personnel and no one is being allowed to enter there without any reason.

In view of the security of Independence Day, apart from the grounds of MA Stadium, indoor activities have also been closed there.

There the practice of players has also been limited, while the district badminton competition, which is going to start from August 11 at the Indoor Hall at MA Stadium, will also be shifted to the Badminton Complex of Police Lines.

The competition is to end on August 14, while the date of entry has been kept till 5 pm on August 9.
