A day after the BBMP sealed the Christian College of Nursing, located on the Horamavu-Agra road in the Karnataka capital, Health Minister K Sudhakar said he would visit the institute.

According to the minister’s office, Sudhakar will visit the campus and meet the management to ascertain whether the students were asked to show the RT-PCR report at the time of admission to the hostels and campus, only after being negative.

Despite this, how did the infection spread to others.

The Health Department officials have sealed the Christian Nursing College in Horamavu, Bengaluru after 34 students tested positive for COVID-19.

The students had arrived in the city after the college reopened on August 5. Initially, two students got tested after showing symptoms and they came out positive.

After this, the college administration has got the Covid test done for all 300 students.

The authorities have sealed the Christian Nursing College campus including the surrounding 100 meters area. The area has been marked as a containment zone.

The Health Department has instructed the college administration to take the responsibility of keeping the students in quarantine for 14 days.
