CID notice to former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Ponguru Narayan: Amravati land scam case.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu seem to be having difficulties in the Amravati land scam case. The CID has issued a notice to him in the case.

Apart from this, notice has also been issued to former Minister of State Ponguru Narayan. Both have been asked to be involved in the investigation of the case.

A case against Naidu has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

CID Investigating Officer Laxmi Narayan Rao has asked Chandrababu to appear in person at the CID Regional Office in Vijayawada on 23 March.

The FIR was lodged by the CID on 12 March based on a complaint filed by YSRC MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy on 24 February. This issue is related to land pooling for the development of Amravati in the year 2015.

There is a complaint and FIR as it came after a gap of six years and a case related to it came to light in High Court.

The MLA has stated in the FIR that some farmers in his constituency told him that some influential persons in the then government illegally occupied his land.

A team of CID officers arrived at Chandrababu’s Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Where he is now living and served notice.

Reacting to the CID’s notice, TDP state president K Atchannayadu accused Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government of revenge politics.

In a statement, he alleged that the family of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy family had occupied more than 700 acres of land in the Kadapa district for 30 years.

It claimed to have returned 300 acres after the case was exposed.
