The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has asked its field commanders to spread awareness about the dangers of misuse of social media.

Apart from this, it has also been asked to ensure careful compliance with the new guidelines issued in this regard. It is noteworthy that the force, comprising about 1.62 lakh personnel, had issued some new guidelines in connection with the use of social media just a few days ago. Under this, the workers were instructed to give information about their user ID being used on all forums like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to the institute.

A senior official said that these guidelines have been issued to ensure that workers use social media with responsibility and accountability. These guidelines were approved by CISF Director General Rajesh Ranjan. Meanwhile, in the new guidelines issued on Monday, the headquarters of the force-directed all it’s unit commanders to make the personnel aware of the right and constructive use of social media and its sensitivity and dangers.

It states that these topics should be discussed during the regular military conference or regular events. The directive states that the use of social media in the force is permitted to stay connected with family, friends, and other events. Therefore, workers should ensure that sensitive and confidential information is not public. Their online activities should not affect the dignity, image, or discipline of the force.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has issued new guidelines for social media usage for its 1.62 lakh personnel. In this, they have been asked to tell their user-id organization of all platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Those violating these guidelines, issued on July 31, will face strict legal and disciplinary action.
