CM Bommai to attend President’s swearing-in ceremony, Kasturirangan report to be discussed: Karnataka.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be on a two-day visit to Delhi from July 25 to 26.

Speaking to media persons, Bommai said, “I am leaving for New Delhi. With delegations from various departments to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new President of India on July 25.

If the top party officials on this issue I will also discuss cabinet expansion, he said, “I will also lead a delegation to discuss the Kasturirangan report.

Voting for the election of the new President of India began in Parliament and the respective state legislatures on Monday.

Presidential elections were held in a peaceful and orderly manner on Monday with 98.91 percent voter turnout in the Parliament House.

Of the 736 electors comprising 727 MPs and nine MLAs who were allowed by the Election Commission to vote in the Parliament House, 728 voters cast their votes.

It includes 719 MPs and nine MLAs. A total of 98.91 percent voter turnout was recorded in the Parliament House.

The contest is between BJP-led NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu and Yashwant Sinha of the opposition parties.

The President is elected by the members of the Electoral College, which consists of elected members of Parliament and members of all state legislatures, including the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

CM Bommai to attend President’s swearing-in ceremony: The counting of votes will start at 11 am in Parliament House.

Meanwhile, the counting of votes for the election of the 15th President of India will take place on Thursday. The counting of votes will begin at 11 am in the Parliament House.

Polling was held peacefully on 18 July. The contest is between BJP-led NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu and opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

The NDA candidate is seeing a clear lead in the contest. Voting ended at 5 pm on Monday at designated places in the Parliament House and all state capitals except the Union Territory of Puducherry and Delhi.
