Congress leader accused of murder was warmly welcomed by the supporters. Corona rules flouted to welcome Congress leader accused of murder in Karnataka.
Former minister and Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni, accused of murder, was warmly welcomed by the supporters when he came out of jail on Saturday.
The Karnataka Police has registered a case against Kulkarni and 300 others for flouting the Covid rules amid the weekly curfew.
The former minister is accused of murdering BJP leader and district panchayat member Yogesh Gowda in the year 2016.
A large number of supporters had already gathered to welcome Kulkarni out of jail after getting bail from the Supreme Court.
During this, no care was taken of the mandatory Covid rules like physical distance and masks. The Congress leader along with his supporters also took out a rally in an open jeep.
Congress MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar welcomed Kulkarni by applying tilak and tying the rakhi.
Kulkarni said, ‘I was confident that I would come out. I have full faith in the justice system.
Temples were opened for the former minister and he also offered prayers there. He also visited the Naganur Rudrakshi Math.
A crowd gathered in Belagavi, breaking all restrictions on the weekend curfew. The temple was specially opened for them to worship. He went to the Naganoor Rudrakshi Math and sought the seer’s blessings.
Kulkarni was accused of conspiring to kill BJP’s district panchayat member Yogesh Gowda in 2016.
He was a cabinet minister in the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government. Though his name surfaced, no action was initiated against him
Corona lockdown in Tamil Nadu extended till September 6, the government gave additional exemption.

The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday announced to extend the coronavirus lockdown for two more weeks till September 6 in view of the low number of corona cases in the state.
So at the same time, the government has announced some more relaxations in the lockdown including the reopening of high schools, colleges, and cinema theaters.
