Court convicted 14 for assault in Charley Abdo’s office, sentenced to 30 years imprisonment: France.

The court on Wednesday convicted 14 people of aiding in the crime in the terrorist attack cases at the Charley Abdo magazine office and supermarket in France.

Three accused in the cases are still absconding. The judge sentenced Baumdin to 30 years imprisonment, pleading guilty to financially assisting terrorists and helping in criminal acts.

Terrorist organizations Al Qaeda and Islamic State claimed responsibility for these attacks.

The terrorist attacks took place on January 7, 2015. 17 people, including many journalists, were killed in these attacks.

Angry brothers – Said and Sheriff Cauchy had stormed into the office of Paris-based Charley Abdo after the magazine published a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad.

The third attacker, Amedi Coulibaly, killed a female policeman and barged into the Kosher supermarket, and killed four Jews as hostages. Said, Kauchi, and Caulibali were later killed in police action.

The 14 people convicted have also included Hayat Boumedin (32). She is the wife of Coulibaly. He is absconding but security agencies believe he is still alive.

An international warrant has been issued against him. Investigators have named her the Islamic State Princess.

The judge said the aim of the invading terrorists was to create fear for the western countries. He also said that crime was not possible without cooperation.

After a long investigation, the accused have been convicted. In the cases, six accused were convicted of less serious offenses. Therefore terrorism-related charges against him were dropped.

Journalists of Sharley Abdo magazine also testified during the hearing. A witness named Simon Fisi had told the court that the terrorists started firing as soon as they entered the office.

The terrorists were also raising slogans about a particular religion. A bullet hit his throat and he fell unconscious. If he does not faint, then his life is not saved.
