In a virtual dialogue with members of FICCI Women’s Organization (FLO), Hyderabad, she said, the company hopes that covaxine may get approval from the World Health Organization (WHO) in the third or fourth quarter of the year.

Ella said- by ​​the end of the year, the company will increase the production capacity of Covaxin to 70 crores. Dr. Ela said that by the end of this year, Bharat Biotech will take the production capacity of Covaxin to 70 crores.

He expressed happiness that the company is getting all the help from the government and that is why the company has been able to reach where it is today.

New cases of corona have come down from 2.5 lakhs but not decreasing deaths after 36 days

There has been a steady decline in cases of corona infection. For the first time after 36 days, less than 2.5 lakh new cases have been found in a day.

The process of recovery of more patients from new cases is also going on, due to which there is a steady decrease in active cases.

However, the number of daily deaths is not decreasing which is a cause for concern. According to late-night data from states and union territories, 2,09,243 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Infects figure over 2.67 crore

These did not include the figures of some states including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Punjab and because the figures of these states were not found till the time the news was written.

Earlier on April 16, less than 2.5 lakh (2,33,943) cases were found. The total infectious population has also crossed 2.67 crores.

Of these, 2.36 crore people have been completely cured, including 2.75 lakh people who have become infection-free during the last 24 hours. The active cases are 27,30,218.

Then more than four thousand deaths

A day later, more than four thousand (4,056) deaths have taken place and the total death toll has risen to 3,03,355. On Saturday, 3,739 people died.

Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths at 1,320. 624 patients have died in Karnataka and 422 in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from this, 231 have been done in Uttar Pradesh, 189 in Delhi, 188 in Kerala, 156 in Bengal, 113 in Rajasthan, 107 in Bihar, and 104 more in Andhra Pradesh.
