CRPF’s Assistant Commandant martyred in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Bijapur: Chhattisgarh.

There has been an encounter between CRPF and Naxalites in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The Assistant Commandant of CRPF has been martyred in the encounter.

Inspector General of Bastar P Sundarraj said that this encounter took place in the forest of Putkel. The martyred Assistant Commandant was posted in the 168 Battalion.

The CRPF officer further said that a CRPF jawan was also injured in the encounter.

Sundarraj told that the encounter took place in the forests of Putkel adjoining Timmapur of Usoor block of Basguda police station area.

The name of the martyred Assistant Commandant was SB Tirkey. He was a resident of Jharkhand. The encounter is still on.

Our jawans are entering the den of Naxalites and fighting them with valor and courage. Our jawans have covered the Naxalites in a limited circle. The martyrdom of our soldiers will not go in vain.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has condoled this incident. CM tweeted that in the incident of Naxalite encounter in Bijapur district.

In this incident, instructions have been given to the officers to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured jawan.

Mizoram: BSF seized 6 and a half crore banned Yaba tablets, two accused arrested.

Border Security Force (BSF) contingents on Friday seized banned drugs worth around Rs 6.52 crore in Mizoram’s Kolasib district. BSF has arrested a Myanmar citizen and a drug smuggler during this period.

The soldiers recovered 1,30,492 Yaba bullets weighing about 12.8 kg from them.

The arrested people have been identified as 49-year-old Sameer Dev. The accused Sameer is a resident of the Cachar district of Assam. At the same time, 36-year-old Solomon is a citizen of Myanmar.

The BSF had received inputs regarding the drug deal.

Based on the information, a joint operation was launched by BSF, Excise and Narcotics Department near Chhimluang village on National Highway-306 in Kolasib district.

BSF had busted their intention by taking no two accused into custody. The BSF issued a statement saying that the value of the seized Yaba tablet is Rs 6,52,46,000 in the market.
