The death toll in last Sunday’s grenade attack by terrorists in Amira Kadal in central Kashmir has risen to two.

The girl who was injured in the attack also succumbed to her injuries during treatment this morning.

Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, Medical Superintendent of SMHS Hospital told that the injured girl named Rafia died this morning.

She had suffered serious head injuries in the Amira Kadal grenade blast. Rafia was a resident of the Hazrat Bal area of ​​Srinagar.

Let us tell you that the terrorists carried out a grenade attack at Amira Kadal Bazaar in the afternoon when there was a huge crowd.

Around 23 people, including a policeman, were injured in this attack while an elderly person was killed.

19 Rafia who died in the hospital this morning was the daughter of Nazir Ahmed Tinda, a resident of the Hazratbal area.

With this death, the death toll in yesterday’s grenade blast has gone up to two. The sudden grenade attack had created panic in the area.

Several people were injured by grenade shrapnel and fell on the road. Others present there immediately picked up all the injured and took them to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital for treatment.

Some of the injured people were taken to the hospital by auto. About 23 injured reached the hospital for treatment.

Among them was 64-year-old Mohammad Aslam Makdoomi resident of Makdoom Sahib Srinagar. Makdoomi died during treatment.

Now about 22 injured are undergoing treatment. According to the doctors, the other injured have not suffered many injuries.

His condition remains stable. DIG Sujit Kumar said that most of the civilians were injured in the grenade attack.

CCTV cameras installed nearby are being scrutinized to nab the attacking terrorists. The terrorists will be caught soon.

Cinema halls and swimming pools will now open with 50 percent capacity in Jammu and Kashmir.
