Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde made Gajanan Kirtikar the leader of the parliamentary party and removed Sanjay Raut from the post.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde dismissed Sanjay Raut as chief of his parliamentary party and appointed Lok Sabha MP Gajanan Kirtikar as his successor.

Kirtikar appoints parliamentary party leader Shiv Sena.

In a letter to Lok Sabha President Om Birla and Rajya Sabha President Jagdeep Dhankhar, leader Shiv Sena Shinde said Kirtikar has been appointed leader of the Shiv Sena parliamentary party.

Kirtikar is Honored.

On Thursday, SS leaders congratulated Kirtikar at the parliamentary party office on the 3rd floor of the parliament house.

Four MPs from Shiv Sena, there are 18 MPs in Lok Sabha, have expressed allegiance to Uddhav Thackeray.

Shinde had last year split the Shiv Sena, accusing Thackeray of compromising on the party’s core ideals and joining hands with the main rival Congress and NCP to form the government in Maharashtra.

Last month, the Election Commission recognized the Shinde-led faction as the real Shiv Sena and allotted it a name and symbol.

Three members of the Shiv Sena in the Rajya Sabha, Sanjay Raut, Anil Desai, and Priyanka Chaturvedi, belong to the Thackeray faction.
