Devendra Jhajharia Won Silver Medal In Tokyo Paralympic Games

Devendra Jhajharia won the silver medal in Tokyo Paralympic Games, Sundar Singh won the bronze medal.

India has created panic in the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. On Monday, Indian players showed a strong game and won four medals one after the other.

The first medal of the day was won by Awani Lekhra in 10m Air Rifles, who won the gold medal. The second medal was given to India in the form of the silver medal by discus thrower Yogesh Kathunia.

At the same time, the third and fourth medals of the day have been won by the javelin throwers. On the occasion of Sports Day on Sunday, India had won three medals.

Tokyo Paralympics 2020: In the javelin throw competition, Devendra Jhajharia and Sunder Singh Gurjar along with him have won silver and bronze medals at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

This is India’s sixth and seventh medal in this year’s Games. At the same time, this is Devendra Jhajharia’s third personal medal in the Paralympics.

Devendra threw 64.35m javelin in the javelin throw F46 event, which is his personal best score. However, he could not win the third gold medal at the Paralympic Games.

He had to be content with the silver medal. Earlier, 40-year-old Devendra Jhajharia has won gold medals in the 2004 Athens Paralympics and 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Devendra Jhajharia’s teammate Sundar Singh Gurjar also won a medal at Tokyo Paralympics, which is India’s seventh medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Sunder Singh Gurjar won the bronze medal with a javelin throw of 64.01m. In this way, on Monday, India has won four medals so far.

The silver and bronze medals in the Javelin Throw F46 event were won by Indian players.

While the gold medal was won by Sri Lanka’s Herath Mudiansela, who clocked the best score of 67.79 in his third round.

Apart from this, he could not even touch the figure of 63 meters even once.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks to javelin throwers Devendra Jhajharia and Sundar S Gurjar, who have won silver and bronze medals at the Tokyo Paralympics.

PM Modi congratulated him for winning a medal at the Tokyo Paralympics and acknowledged Devendra’s rich efforts.
