Eighth round of talks between India and China started, discussion on resolving the border dispute: India China Tension.

The eighth round of talks has begun today between India and China in the ongoing deadlock in eastern Ladakh. In this conversation, there will be a discussion once again to resolve the boundary dispute.

In the eighth round of talks at the level of Corps Commander of the two countries, the Indian Army will emphasize the immediate comprehensive withdrawal of Chinese troops from all confrontational locations in eastern Ladakh.

The leading news agency reported that the talks have started in Indian territory Chushul at 9.30 am with the Indian side being led by Lt Gen PGK Menon, who has recently been appointed Commander of the 14th Corps at Leh.

It is known that at present, on the mountainous fronts of zero temperature in eastern Ladakh, about 50 thousand Indian soldiers are firmly engaged because no concrete result of several rounds of talks between the two sides in the east has been achieved.

According to officials, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China also has about the same number of soldiers stationed there.

The previous round of Corps Commander level talks were held on October 12, but there was no consensus on the withdrawal of the troops from the conflict areas.

Recently Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar has said that there has been serious tension in India-China relations and that agreements on border management must be fully respected to restore normalcy.

Rajnath gave a concrete answer

During the India-China talks on Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that India faces challenges on its borders and will defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking in a webinar to commemorate 60 years of the National Defense College in Delhi, Rajnath Singh said that India is a peace-loving country and peace can be ensured only through its ability to prevent war.
