Encounter in Kulgam: the encounter between militants and security forces ends in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists killed.

In the Chingam area of the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces and militants in the Chingam area have now ended.

According to information received from Kashmir Police, two terrorists have been killed in this encounter. The encounter between security forces and militants started late on Friday night in Kala Darang village of Chingam in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.

Security forces laid siege to the entire village at night. In this regard, the security forces had received intelligence late Friday night that some terrorists are making some big plans in their contact’s house.

In view of this, the army, police, and CRPF jawans surrounded the entire village by closing the routes leading to Chinigam Kala Darang.

Significantly, Pakistan is constantly trying to spoil the atmosphere along the international border and the Line of Control. On 9 October last, the Pakistani Army opened fire on Indian military and civilian bases in the Naugam sector located in Kupwara, Kashmir.

In response to this firing, Indian soldiers also targeted Pakistani targets. A day earlier, on the night of October 8, there was shelling in Kathua district. Pakistan started firing cannon and mortar in the morning on Indian military and other bases located in the Naugam sector.

Many shells fell around fields and military posts in the village here. Although there was no loss of life or property in them, the villagers were hiding in the bunkers as soon as the attack was feared.

The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to this fire, shortly after which the shelling from Pakistan ceased. Let me tell you that earlier on 1 October 2020, two military personnel were also martyred in the shelling of the Pakistani Army in the Naugam sector itself.

Pakistani Rangers had earlier fired at machine guns in Chandwa, Kotha area in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district on Thursday night.

Thereafter, intermittent firing continued from Pakistan till four in the morning. Continued firing in this sector has added to the difficulties for the farmers.

The paddy crop is ready at this time in the fields here, but due to continuous firing from Pakistan, there is a problem in harvesting the crop.
