At 1.30 pm, the police had an encounter with the miscreants in the Kachpura of the Jagger area. On seeing the police, the miscreants opened fire.

In retaliatory firing, Badan Singh and one of his companions got shot. The injured partner has been identified as Akshay Rathore.
