Explosives recovered from the terrorist hideout in Kangan’s Narnag forest, search operation going on: Jammu Kashmir.

Security forces on Wednesday recovered explosives from a terrorist hideout in the Narnag forest adjacent to Kangan along the Srinagar-Leh National Highway.

At the same time, security forces have also recovered an old rusted bomb at Tangmarg Kunjar in North Kashmir.

According to the information received here, a report of the sighting of the terrorists in the forest of Narnag in the upper part of Kangan was received by the police late last evening.

At the same time, the police conducted a search operation along with the personnel of the Assam Regiment. Although the terrorists were not found, their place was definitely found at a place in the forest.

Security forces recovered two magazines, 30 cartridges, and a hand grenade of the assault rifle from the hideout. Later the soldiers destroyed the terrorist hideout so that no one could use it again.

Meanwhile, villagers noticed a rust bomb at the outer edge of the village at Kunjar village, Utiku, Baramulla in North Kashmir. He informed the police at the same time.

Shortly thereafter, the police and 2RR personnel reached the spot with their bomb disposal squad. He took the bomb in his possession and made it safely ruled out.
