Farooq Abdullah’s 12 Crore Assets Seized In A Corruption Case: JKCA money laundering case. ED’s action against Farooq Abdullah, 12 crore assets seized in a corruption case.

In the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) money laundering case, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s assets have been seized by the Enforcement Directorate for Rs 11.86 crore.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team is investigating cases of alleged financial irregularities against the leader of the National Conference.

All these cases are related to financial irregularities in Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association. In 2018, the CBI filed a charge sheet against Farooq Abdullah and three others.

In the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, this case between 2002 and 2011 is related to about 43.69 crore alleged irregularities.

The ED has claimed that between 2006 and 2012, Farooq Abdullah used his powers to misuse JKCA funds. The agency claims that the hands have been allegedly cleaned on an amount of more than 45 crores.

The national conference leader’s properties include three residential, one with commercial properties, and four plots. The value of all these properties is 11.86 crores, while the market value is 60 to 70 crores.

Party spokesperson said – this case is related to a political vendetta.

In October 2020, Farooq Abdullah has been questioned twice in this regard. The National Conference is looking at this entire investigation process by bringing all the parties on one platform on the issue of special status in the state.

A spokesman for the 84-year-old party of Abdullah said, “Letter from the ED came after the announcement of the People’s Alliance in Kashmir under the guile deceleration.”

This is a clear indication that the whole matter is related to political vendetta.

Reacting to the matter, the National Conference said, “It was going to be what we expected.” The party said that the BJP government at the Center is using agencies to break new political equations in Kashmir.

The BJP cannot compete with its competitors politically.

In 2019, Farooq Abdullah was called by the ED for questioning in July. The following month, in August 2019, the central government divided the state into two union territories, ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

After this, Farooq Abdullah was kept in custody under the Public Safety Act for several months.

Farooq Abdullah, along with his son Omar Abdullah and rival-turned-friend Mehbooba Mufti, were detained by the central government for several months. All three leaders have been Chief Ministers in the past.
