Five Terrorists Including ASI’s Killer Killed In Kashmir
Five terrorists including the ASI killer killed in Kashmir, three encounters in one day in Shopian, Pulwama, and Bijbihara.
The gunshots, which started at 4 a.m. Saturday in south Kashmir continued till after midnight. During this, 5 militants were killed in three encounters.
These include Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir terrorist Faheem Butt, who killed Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Police three days ago.
Apart from this, Nadeem of Ansar-ul-Gajwat Hind, a reward of seven lakhs, Adil, who specializes in making IED, and terrorists of terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF), Sajjad, and Basit are also involved.
Basit is 22 days old terrorist. Four assault rifles and other paraphernalia were also recovered from the slain terrorists.
The first encounter took place at Chaugam in District Shopian and in this two terrorists were killed.
The second encounter lasted about 30 minutes at Hardumir in district Pulwama at an interval of about 12 hours and in which two terrorists of Ansar ul Ghazwat Hind were killed.
The third encounter took place at around 8.30 pm in Khushroi Kalan of Bijbihara in Anantnag, which lasted till late at night.
In the last two days, there have been four encounters in South Kashmir, in which six terrorists have been killed.
Shopian encounter:
According to the information, the police received information about the hiding of two terrorists in Chowgam on Friday midnight.
At the same time, the police, along with the soldiers of Army’s 44 RR and CRPF’s 14th Corps, started a siege in Chowgam to nab the terrorists.
At around 4 am, as soon as the police started searching for them, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire.
The security forces shifted the common people to safer places from the houses located around their hideout in the midst of the exchange of fire.
Both the terrorists were killed in the encounter that ended at 8 am. The slain terrorists include Sajjad Ahmed Chak and Basit Yakub Najar.
Sajjad was a resident of District Shopian and Basit district Pulwama. Sajjad became a terrorist on October 14, 2020. He was involved in grenade attacks on security forces and civilian killings.
Tral Encounter:
An encounter started between security forces and terrorists at Hardumir in the Tral district of Pulwama at around 4 pm on Saturday.
It is said that a joint task force of security forces was leaving the village on regular patrol when the terrorists hiding in a house started firing on them.
The A category terrorists Nadeem Butt and Rasool alias Adil were killed in the encounter that lasted for about half an hour.
Bijbihara Encounter:
The third encounter started at around 9 pm at Khushroi Kalan in Bijbihara in the Anantnag district. Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir terrorist Faheem Butt were trapped in the siege.
He, along with his associates, had killed Assistant Sub Inspector Mohammad Ashraf in Bijbihara on 22 December. Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar had also confirmed that Faheem Butt was trapped in the siege.
Late night, the security forces also completed the work of terrorist Faheem. This is a big success of the security forces.
