A massive search operation by the security forces is going on in the area since the early hours of Sunday.

Security agencies are investigating the matter of dropping weapons from drones.

Investigating agencies suspect that the person coming to collect the weapons may have been using a Pakistani mobile phone SIM card.

Close to the International Border, Pakistan has kept mobile phone signals high to ensure safe interaction with its handlers and people coming to collect weapons.

The investigation is going on to which and how many mobile phones were being spoken in the Makwal area. Therefore the area was sealed for the time being.

According to a police spokesman, one AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 30 cartridges, and a night vision device have been recovered from the packet dropped from the Pakistan drone.

Weapons were dropped by drones near Suhanjana and Alora villages of Flyan Mandal area on Saturday midnight. Some local people were passing by at that time.

He informed the police about it. It is feared that the person who came to pick up the weapons thrown from the drone is hiding in this area, so a search operation is also being conducted.

Inspector-General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh said that the police have taken utmost care to check the weapons thrown by the drones.

The Bomb Disposal Squad was called to check the packet. The packet was opened after getting a green signal from the Bomb Disposal Squad.

The recovered weapons of the packet were checked. Forensic Science Laboratory officials were called to the spot.

SSP Chandan Kohli reached the spot and inquired about the developments. A case has been registered at Satwari police station.

Weapons dropped from Pakistan several times by drones
