Food to be served during a flight in Air Asia, airline resumes service.AirAsia will now have food facilities during the flight. The airline has restored it once again.

AirAsia India said on Monday that it has restored the facility of meals in the aircraft for passengers after the government relaxed regulatory guidelines.

The airline said that the airline has started the facility to book orders in advance to offer food in the aircraft.

On August 27, the aviation ministry had allowed airlines to offer pre-packaged food items, beverages during domestic flights, and hot meals during international flights.

Air Asia India along with other airlines also resumed operations of domestic passenger aircraft from May 25 after a gap of two months due to the lockdown.

The company said Air Asia India is going to restore food service during the flight after the concession in regulatory guidelines issued by the government.

The airline said in the statement that it will have 9 items of Wagon Food, besides vegetarian food, Egatorian, Pescatarian (fish foods), and Jain food options.

According to the statement, AirAsia India will provide food from well-known catering ‘SkyGormate’ and ‘TajSATS Air Catering’, following the highest safety standards.

Earlier, other hot beverages including tea or coffee were also banned for serving. Entertainment facilities were also restored in the flight some time back.

Meanwhile, today, on the second trading day of the week i.e. Tuesday, the stock market opened with a slight increase. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened up 9.59 points at 40155.09.

The National Stock Exchange Nifty opened at 11778.70 with a slight gain of 10.90 points. The stock market closed on the red mark on the last trading day after day-long fluctuations.

Sensex closed down 540 points at 40145.50 levels due to selling pressure in some big stocks like Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, and Tata Steel. The Nifty was down by 162.60 points to close at 11767.75.
