Former Pakistani Captain Furious Over New Zealand Players

Former Pakistani captain furious over New Zealand players’ decision to play in IPL 2021, questions raised on ICC.

Before the ICC T20 World Cup in October-November, the New Zealand cricket team has to tour Bangladesh and Pakistan for a limited-overs series.

Top Kiwis like captain Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, and Kyle Jameson will not go on this tour. These players will take part in the second phase of IPL 2021, which will be held in the UAE from September 19.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is furious after New Zealand’s big players withdrew from the series.

Former Pakistani captain has questioned the International Cricket Council (ICC) and asked why ICC is silent on this issue.

Inzamam said on his YouTube channel, ‘Wherever the Pakistan team is going, it is not getting a chance to play against the main players.

When we went to South Africa in April, they sent their players to play IPL. During the upcoming New Zealand series in Pakistan, eight New Zealand players have been ruled out of the tour to play the IPL.

Even on the recent tour of England, the entire England team changed due to Corona.

Inzamam further said, ‘I feel that the Pakistan team is not getting the opportunity to practice properly because they are not able to play against the main players.

What is ICC doing? What message do they want to convey? Players are not giving importance to international cricket but to private leagues.

It’s like humiliating international cricket. If you watch the entire sequence, it is happening only against Pakistan.

Inzamam feels that Pakistan is not preparing well for the T20 World Cup due to the unavailability of big players.

Apart from Williamson, Boult, and Jameson, Lockie Ferguson, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell Santer, Tim Seifert are among the New Zealand players who withdrew from the Pakistan series.
