Goa imposed new restrictions due to a spike in Covid Cases. Not more than 100 people will be able to gather in public meetings in Goa.

Corona cases are increasing across the country, due to which every state is imposing new restrictions.

Meanwhile, in view of the increase in corona cases in Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has also announced on Saturday that the number of people in public meetings in the state has been limited to 100 people.

In the case of indoor venues, the seating capacity will be 100 percent. Sawant said that a maximum of 100 people would be allowed at the venue at any given point in time.

However, the capacity limit for people entering and leaving the venue will not be counted.

Goa imposed new restrictions: The ban will continue till 26 January.

Sawant further said that restrictions have been put in place to prevent large gatherings in markets, public gatherings, political meetings, beaches, etc.

The restrictions will continue till January 26 and will be reviewed based on the pandemic situation in the state. Meanwhile, the Goa government has decided not to impose a night curfew in the state for now.

According to the health bulletin released by the state government on Friday, a total of 1432 new corona cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 6,295 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and 112 people have been cured of the infection. A total of 1,76,737 people have been cured in the state.

A total of 3,530 deaths have been reported in the state so far, including two during the last 24 hours. At present, there are 5931 active corona cases in the state.

Kanhaiya lashed out at BJP in Goa, told double engine government failed

Congress youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who reached Goa on a two-day visit, has attacked the BJP fiercely.

In one of his addresses, Kanhaiya said that the ‘double engine’ of the BJP has failed to provide employment to the youth and solve the issues of Bahujan Samaj.

Kumar was addressing the Bahujan Samaj of Goa at the ‘Bahujan Samvad’ program in Mapusa.

During this, he said that if the BJP’s double engine worked properly, then the youth of Bihar would not go to Goa in search of jobs.

He raised the question that Bihar and the Center are also ruled by the BJP, then why did both these engines fail?

He also said that the double engine has failed to restart mining in Goa and provide employment to the youth.

Goa Congress Observer P Chidambaram, Goa in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao, GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Amarnath Panajikar, SB Bandekar, Feroz Khan, and others were present at the event.
