Government Will Set Up 75 Textile Hubs In The Country

Government will set up 75 textile hubs in the country, Textile Minister Piyush Goyal said – will be started under the PM Mitra scheme.

Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal claims that the government will set up 75 textile hubs like Tiruppur in different parts of the country.

He said that if 50 thousand crore textile production starts in one textile hub, then lakhs of youth will get jobs in one hub.

Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu is the country’s major textile hub with more than 10,000 garment manufacturing units and employs over six lakh people.

What Textile Minister Piyush Goyal said-

Goyal said that 37 years ago in the year 1985, Tiruppur used to export Rs 15 crore.

In the financial year ending March this year, Tiruppur exports are estimated at Rs 30,000 crore, which is 2000 times more than in 1985.

Being an employable sector, the government is focusing a lot on textiles. Soon mega textile parks will be set up in different states of the country under the PM Mitra scheme.

The economy to become $ 30 trillion in the next 30 years.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and is expected to reach USD 30 trillion in the coming 30 years.

He said that if the country’s growth rate grows at a compounded rate of 8 percent, it will double in the next nine years.

At present, the country’s economy is about $ 3.2 trillion, and nine years from now it will be about $ 6.5 trillion.

If this pace of growth continues, then 18 years from now we will be a country with about a $ 13 trillion economy.

Whereas 27 years from now we will be a 26 trillion dollar economy. If we calculate after 30 years from today, then the Indian economy will be 30 trillion dollars.

The economy gained momentum due to transparency at every level.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has said that along with reliable and decisive leadership, transparency at every level has also supported the growth of the Indian economy.

Commerce, Industry, and Textiles Minister Goyal said that the country has announced a stable policy framework and respected investments made in all sectors.

Goyal said this in a special meeting with the members of CII organized in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade DPIIT.

The meeting was organized in association with the Government of India and Invest India on Saturday evening.
