Grenade Attack in Kulgam: Militants attacked grenade at Friesal police post, Shaupian police station in Kulgam.

On Monday evening, terrorists escaped after a grenade attack on the Kulgam police post in Kashmir’s Kulgam. Police and security forces have launched a search operation to nab militants.

At present, there is no report of any casualty in the grenade attack. Other details are awaited.

Meanwhile, terrorists attacked the police station at Shaupian with grenades.

Thankfully, the grenade fired by the terrorists did not explode and a bomb disposal squad was immediately called to the spot, neutralizing it. Other details are awaited.

According to the information, shortly after throwing terrorist grenades at the Faisal police post of Kulgam around 6.15 am, Samvar escaped from there taking advantage of the darkness.

The grenade fell to the ground outside the police post and exploded. However, no injuries were reported from it. Soon after the incident, the police started a search operation in the area.

All the noses planted around the Frisel area have been alerted. Police and security forces have launched a joint search operation to nab militants.

Meanwhile, the police arrested two drug traffickers in Frisel on Sunday. On the night of 14 and 15 November, a police patrol spotted two people walking under suspicious circumstances in the main market of Frisel.

Shortly thereafter, the police warned both the suspects to stop searching. The two suspects tried to flee, ignoring the police warning, but were caught shortly after. Heroin and other items were recovered from both.

They have been identified as Frisel and Shahid Ahmed Bhat, residents of Nazir Ahmed Gani. The police have registered a case and started further investigation.

Meanwhile, the silence over the last 60 hours on the LoC in North Kashmir dissolved on Monday evening with the Pakistani army violating the border ceasefire in the Tangdar (Kupwara) sector.

Indian jawans have also retaliated by hurting Pakistani targets across the Neelum and Lipa Valley across the LoC. Galebari was continuing on each other’s bases from both sides till late night.

Meanwhile, the army’s bomb disposal squad has neutralized live cannonballs that fell during Pakistani shelling in the Uri (Baramulla) sector.
