Terrorists hurled a grenade near Aali Masjid in Idgah, Srinagar. A policeman and a local civilian have been injured in the attack. Both have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The terrorists have fled from thereafter carrying out this incident. Security forces have launched a search operation to nab the terrorists.

The injured have been identified in this grenade attack by terrorists.

The civilian has been identified as Ejaz Ahmed Butt, son of Ghulam Nabi Butt, resident of Hawal, and the police personnel as Sajjad Ahmad Butt, resident of Narwara.

Both of them are undergoing treatment at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar. Ejaz has suffered injuries on the left side of the face and side while the policeman has sustained injuries on his left leg.

This is the third terrorist incident in Srinagar city in the last four days. Earlier on Sunday, terrorists shot dead a policeman and then on Monday a civilian named Mohammad Ibrahim Khan.

Militants attacked a police Naka party near Aali Masjid in the Idgah area with a grenade at around 6.30 pm today.

The grenade fell near the Naka party and exploded with a loud bang. A policeman and a civilian were injured in the blast.

According to doctors at SMHS Hospital Srinagar, the condition of both of them is critical but stable.

Meanwhile, the security forces cordoned off the entire area immediately after the grenade attack and launched a search operation to nab the terrorists.

So far no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this grenade attack.

Sadhu was arrested for smuggling charas from Nawabad, one caught with Bhukki in Akhnoor too

Near a temple located at Mandir Masjid Point in the city, the police have arrested the sadhu for smuggling the narcotic substance charas.

The police have caught 150 grams of charas from the accused monk. A case under NDPS Act has been registered against the sadhu at Nawabad police station.

At the same time, Akhnoor police caught a youth on the charge of smuggling Bhukki. The accused is being questioned that from where he has brought this consignment of drugs.
