In such a situation, on Monday, when information was received about the sighting of terrorists near the colony of Kashmiri Pandits, the police started their search in the area without delay.

However, it was later revealed that those who were considered terrorists are laborers doing road survey work.

According to the information, a person had informed the police that he had seen two armed men passing by the road near the colony of Kashmiri Pandits in Jagti.

After this, Nagrota SDPO Nagrota Proupakar Singh and SHO Mohammad Shokal reached the spot along with the police team.

During interrogation, the workers told the police officers that they had come with the equipment to survey the road in the Jagati area.

Seeing the workers working with survey equipment on their shoulders, he admitted that he had mistakenly mistaken the workers as terrorists.

The way the workers carried the tools on their shoulders, made him think that it was a weapon. After this, the police heaved a sigh of relief.
