India And China To Reduce The Tension On The Border

India and China to reduce the tension on the border, There were talks again held on Thursday in but the outcome was not up to the mark. The officials of the foreign ministries of India and China met again on Thursday, but like the last four meetings, this time also both sides do not seem to reach any conclusion. After the meeting of the WMCC (Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination, WMCC), the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs of India did not show any hope. China’s Foreign Ministry’s statement issued in the evening is also indicating the same. In a statement issued by both the countries, there is talk of mutual agreement and the withdrawal of troops quickly.

India’s firm stand, China withdraws first soldiers

According to experts, there is no change in the attitude of China. India has again clarified that peace will be possible only with the full withdrawal of Chinese troops from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. There is also an indication that the Chinese Foreign Ministry and other officials are continuing negotiations with the Indian Embassy in Beijing on this issue.

After Thursday’s meeting, Anurag Srivastava, spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said that talks were held under the leadership of the Joint Secretary (East Asia) and the Director-General of the Border and Maritime Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Both sides agree on the return of soldiers

The negotiations took place under the already established Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) to resolve the border dispute. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the boundary dispute between the two sides was openly and deeply discussed.

Both sides have said that any further conclusions should be drawn on the basis of the negotiations between the Foreign Ministers and Special Representatives and the consensus reached. Both sides are also ready that a full withdrawal of troops should be done on the basis of the previous consensus.

Conversation will continue

Not only this, but the officials of both the countries have also reiterated that peace and tranquility along the border are necessary to carry forward the entire bilateral relationship. It is further agreed to continue negotiations at the military and diplomatic levels.

Further consultations will also be continued under WMCC. The Foreign Ministry of China has also called for a positive review of the situation on the border. This was the fourth meeting of the WMCC after Chinese troops encroached in the first week of May 2020. Not only this, but some similar statements have also come after every meeting.

Talks so far have not yielded any special results

So far, five-time commander-level talks have not yielded any significant results. On 15 June 2020, after the violent clash between the soldiers of the two countries, Chinese troops from some parts of Galvan Valley had some structure and luggage behind but after that, the case remains the same.

Sources reveal that the number of Chinese soldiers has also increased significantly. Not only this, but Indian agencies have also captured the preparations of the Chinese Air Force. Looking at the tricks of China, India too has left no stone unturned in its preparations.
