India And Spain Will Increase Cooperation: Foreign Minister

India and Spain will increase cooperation in the defense and energy sector, both countries together during an epidemic.

India and Spain will increase their cooperation in the field of defense and energy. The agreement was reached at a virtual meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries on Wednesday.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González Laía discussed increasing cooperation in many areas.

But the two countries will increase mutual cooperation mainly in defense and energy. Both countries will also increase their cooperation through the platform of the European Union.

Spain is a member country of the European Union. The conference of India and the European Union is to be held in Portugal in May 2021.

The two countries also considered a strategy of cooperation in view of the Corona transition period and subsequent conditions.

It has been decided to retain the kind of growth that has taken place in recent years in the development of relations between the two countries.

Spain also assured India of cooperation as a temporary member of the UN Security Council. It is to be noted that Spain is one of the countries most affected by the Coronavirus.

The trade agreement between the EU and the UK agreed to maintain the relationship after 11 months.

31 December is close, the last date for the European Union (EU) and Britain’s trade agreement to end. But before the Indian time, both sides reached a trade agreement for the future, bypassing apprehensions on Wednesday midnight.

The agreement was reached after negotiations that lasted nearly 11 months. Due to this agreement in the world’s most important business area, the possibility of sinking millions of crores of both sides has been eliminated.

Following the British break-up from the EU in January, the two sides were to enter into a trade pact with effect from January 1, 2021. But both were adamant on their terms.

Due to this, by the time of 31 December, both the chances of compromise were weakened. But it is a matter of relief that efforts are on for the agreement and expectations remain.

Hours before the agreement, a senior EU diplomat said expectations were not yet over. But there was no comment from Britain.
