India Won The Road Safety World Series T20 Title

India won the Road Safety World Series T20 title under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, defeating Sri Lanka.

Road Safety World Series T20 2021 final India Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends: India won the Road Safety World Series by defeating Sri Lanka.

India Legends, under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, also continued their winning streak and captured the title against Sri Lanka Legends in the final match of the Road Safety World Series T20 2021.

India’s performance during the entire tournament was amazing and in the finals, this team maintained its vigor.

Batting first in the final match, India scored 181 for 4 wickets in 20 overs against Sri Lanka on the basis of half-century innings of Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh.

Sri Lanka needed 182 runs to win the title, but the team could not achieve this target and had to face defeat. The Sri Lankan team scored 167 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost by 14 runs.

In this match, Indian Legends batted first and scored 181 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. For India, Virender Sehwag scored 10 runs while the captain and team opener batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored 30 runs off 23 balls.

While S. Badrinath scored just 7 runs, Yuvi and Yusuf handled the innings of the team. Yuvi scored 60 runs while Yusuf Pathan scored an unbeaten 62 runs.

Irfan Pathan was unbeaten on 8 runs. On the other hand, Rangana Herath, Sanath Jayasuriya, Maharuf, and K Veeraratne got one success each from Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka innings, Sanath Jayasuriya scored 43 runs.

Sri Lanka’s team had a target of 182 runs to win. In the second innings, the Sri Lankan team came out to chase this target.

Sanath Jayasuriya and captain Tillakaratne Dilshan got a good start and shared a 62-run partnership for the first wicket.

Dilshan then was dismissed by 21 runs and soon after that Chamara Silva returned to the pavilion for just two runs.

Jayasuriya smashed a 43-run knock off 35 balls with the help of six and 5 fours, but Yusuf Pathan put an end to his innings. Upul Tharanga was dismissed by 13 runs.

Sri Lankan batsman Kaushalya Veeratne smashed a quickfire 38 off 15 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours to keep Sri Lanka’s hopes alive, but Manpreet Goni ended his innings and was caught by Vinay Kumar.

Upul Tharanga contributed 13 runs for the team. Jayasinghe scored 39 runs while Nuwan Kulasekara remained unbeaten with one run scored.

For India, Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan took two wickets each while Manpreet Goni took one wicket.
