Indian Air Force concludes 4-day ‘Udarshakti’ with Royal Australian Air Force, Malaysian Air Force hosted.

The Air Force of Defense Force of India and Australia have concluded a four-day joint exercise. This exercise took place in Malaysia.

This military exercise is the first edition of the joint air exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

The Indian Air Force (IAF) said that all the credit for the success of the first edition of the exercise is a testament to the shared commitment of both the Air Forces.

Indian Air Force (IAF) contingent is now proceeding for Exercise Pitch Black 22 at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Darwin, Australia.

The four-day exercise was named Udarshakti. Various sorties and formation executions were witnessed during the exercise.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) further said, ‘The four-day pre-Udalshakti culminated with a traditional closing ceremony organized by the Royal Malaysian Air Force on 16 August.

The ceremony was marked with a 7 Aircraft Formation fly past by both the Air Force and an exchange of mementos between some leaders.

100 aircraft and 2500 military personnel from 17 countries will be involved.

In the ‘Pitch Black’ exercise, about 100 aircraft and 2500 military personnel of Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates (UAE), UK, and the US will participate.

About 100 aircraft and 2,500 military personnel from 17 countries will arrive in the country’s northern region in two weeks to begin Pitch Black 2022 (PBK22), Australian media said.

The exercise will be held from August 19 to September 6.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAF) considers ‘Pitch Black’ its “capstone” international action activity with strategic partners and allied air forces.

Exercise ‘Pitch Black’ takes place once every two years and is conducted by the Royal Australian Air Force. But due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this war exercise is taking place after four years.

The combat exercises generally take place at RAAF bases – Darwin and Tyndall – in northern Australia. This time the exercise will be held from August 19 to September 6.
