Indian Army To Participate In Military Exercises In Bangladesh

Indian army to participate in military exercises of four countries in Bangladesh, know why this exercise is special.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Indian Army will participate in the four countries’ military exercises in Bangladesh.

This military exercise, which is being held from April 4 to 12, is named ‘Shantir Ograshena 2021’ (Shantir Ogroshena 2021).

Officials said on Thursday that the military exercise is being organized to mark the centenary of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of the liberation struggle of Bangladesh.

The report of the news agency said that the 30-member contingent of the Indian Army would comprise officers of Dogra Regiment, Junior Commissioned Officers i.e. JCOs and soldiers.

Bhutan and Sri Lankan forces will also participate in this military exercise. Not only this, according to the Indian Defense Ministry, military observers from the US, UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Singapore will also be involved in this military exercise.

It is known that in Bangladesh, many programs have been organized to mark the completion of 50 years of the 1971 war.

On December 16, 1971, about 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered before the Indian Army and the Liberation Corps of Bangladesh. After this, the way of Bangladesh’s birth was clear.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Bangladesh on March 26 and 27. He went to participate in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Bangladesh’s independence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had gone to participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Bangladesh’s independence, had a conversation with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He gave a full review of bilateral relations in this dialogue and discussed ways to strengthen economic and cultural relations in the future.

The issue of sharing the Teesta river was also discussed between the two leaders. Not only this, the two Prime Ministers also inaugurated a new passenger train between Dhaka and New Jalpaiguri.
