Indian Navy gets three Mk III advanced light helicopters of HAL, Coastal security will be strong.
Three Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) were handed over to the Indian Navy on Friday by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. All three are indigenous.
These helicopters built in the country have the capability of coastal security. Mark -III ALH was built for coastal security. HAL handed over three of the 16 Mk-III helicopters to Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh during Aero India.
These are multi-mission helicopters. These have advanced sensors. It features HAL’s Integrated Architecture Display System (IADS) with a full glass cockpit.
Apart from this, it also has new systems and a more powerful Safran Ardiden 1H1 engine. The Indian Navy ordered 16 Mk-IIIs.
To compensate for the decreasing performance of its old fleet. This will help in the responsibility of coastal security given to the Navy by the government after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
166 people were killed in this terrorist attack. These helicopters are equipped with avionics and other important equipment.
Aero India 2021: Rajnath Singh spoke in Bengaluru on self-reliant India along with promoting startups in the defense sector
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has arrived in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka today. It was here that he took part in the Startup Manthan organized under Aero India 2021.
Addressing the program, the Defense Minister said that our government is fully aware that there is an urgent need to bring startups into the defense manufacturing sector.
He said that keeping this goal in mind, several important steps have been taken in partnership with the private industry.
Rajnath Singh informed that a large number of initiatives have been taken to be a part of India’s defense industrial initiative to invite the partnership of major companies around the world.
Keeping this goal in mind, FDI was raised from 49 percent to 74 percent in August 2020.
