The effect of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ started appearing, improvement in the sex ratio of these states.

The ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign launched by the Modi government to save the lives of daughters and raise the standard of living, the effect of the scheme has beginning to show.

In the last six years, there has been an improvement in the ligature ratio. The number of girls out of 1,000 boys in 2014–15 was 918, which has increased to 934 in 2019–20.

There has been a good improvement in poor conditions in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh, etc.

However, in Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Nagaland, Tripura, Dadar Nagar Haveli, and Lakshadweep, the linguistic ratio has dropped and the situation has deteriorated earlier.

Apart from this, the number of girls has already improved in other states. The situation in Jharkhand and Mizoram is exactly the same as it was six years ago. Jharkhand has 920 girls per 1,000 boys and Mizoram has 971.

The governments of the country were worried long before the decreasing number of girls compared to boys and steps were being taken in this direction.

But the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign launched by the Modi government proved to be most effective in this direction.

The direct example of how the negative thinking of the society discriminating against daughters and underestimating their birth has changed in the last six years is the improved lignan ratio.
