Indian Naval Ship INS Kesari has arrived in Madagascar to assist the Comorian Coast Guard (CCG). INS Kesari arrived at Moroni Port in Madagascar on Friday.

Let us tell you that the Indian Navy ship has reached there on the request of help from the Comorian Coast Guard of Madagascar.

The CCG had requested the Indian Navy for technical help. In view of this, INS Kesari has reached there.

Let us tell you that CCG had requested India for help through the embassy for the repair of its patrol vessel P002-M combo.

This request for help was made by Madagascar after the Maritime Conclave ended in Goa.

Accepting the request for this help, India has sent Kesari there. This information has been tweeted by the Indian Embassy in Madagascar.

Earlier, Comorian Coast Guard Commander in Chief Modjeeb Rahane Aden had come to India to participate in the Maritime Conclave held in Goa. It was organized between 7-9 November last year.

Earlier, there was also a phone conversation between the External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar and the Foreign Minister of Comoros on 25 April 2020.

These talks took place on the issue of sending medical assistants to Comoros.

In June 2020, India’s Naval Ship Kesari reached Madagascar carrying essential supplies including medicines, doctors, and other things from Corona.

At that time, the team of Indian doctors, along with the doctors there, did a lot of work for the patients battling corona. The Indian crew and ship came as a messenger for them.

In October 2019, the Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu also visited Comoros. Many agreements were also signed between the two countries during this period.

It also included agreements related to the defense sector. In March 2021, Indian Naval Ship Jalashav delivered 1000 tonnes of rice to Comoros in Comoros.
