IPL 2022 Final GT vs RR: Another record for Jos Buttler, the first batsman to complete a ‘double century’ in the playoffs.

In the 15th season of the Indian Premier League, the teams of Rajasthan and Gujarat came out in the final to win the trophy.

Royals opener Jos Buttler, who was in scintillating form, made a record that no batsman had made before. In the playoffs, this batsman left everyone behind by completing a double century.

The final of IPL 2022 was played on Sunday 29 May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Here Sanju Samson won the toss and called the Gujarat team to bowl first.

For Rajasthan, the star opener Butler once again took full advantage of his experience to adapt the batting according to the times.

Although he could not play big innings in this important match, but played an innings of 39 runs and took over the team.

Rajasthan’s Butler completed a double century during this match in the IPL playoffs. He thus holds the distinction of becoming the first batsman to do so in any single season’s playoffs.

Earlier, David Warner had scored 190 runs in 2016 while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Rajat Patidar scored 170 runs in the same season playing for RCB and is at number three. Murali Vijay scored 156 runs in 2012.

Equals Kohli’s record

Butler scored four centuries in this IPL season, one of which came in Qualifier 2. He took the team to the finals by scoring a century against RCB.

The amazing thing is that Butler scored the fourth century of the season against Virat Kohli’s team in front of him. With this, he reached equal to this special record.

Captain Hardik Pandya became the hero of Gujarat’s victory in the final, and won the title of ‘Player of the Match’.

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya also played a big role in stopping Rajasthan Royals for 130 runs in the final match of IPL 2022.

He took three wickets in this match and he took all the wickets for the best batsmen of Rajasthan. He pushed Rajasthan on the back foot by dismissing batsmen like Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Hetmyer.

After his excellent bowling, he also batted well and faced 30 balls, and scored 34 runs with the help of one six and 3 fours.

Due to this all-around performance of Hardik Pandya, while on one hand, the team won the final, he has also adjudged the player of the match for his excellent performance.
