Earthquake in Japan: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Toba city, 84 km southeast of Japan, at 1.38 pm. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale.
Earlier on 9 November, 2020, earthquake tremors were felt in Ibaraki, the eastern province of Japan. The earthquake measured 5.0 on the Richter scale but no tsunami warning was issued.
Giving information, Japan’s Science Agency said that the earthquake occurred in the southern Ibaraki province at 13.38 minutes according to Indian time. Its depth was about 50 kilometers.
According to the news agency, no tsunami warning has been issued. There was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
An earthquake occurred in March this year as well.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude 7.3 quake struck 297 km northeast of Tokyo at around 8:06 p.m. Buildings were shaken by this strong earthquake and a tsunami warning was also issued.
