Supreme Court Judge Justice Aniruddha Bose has recused himself from hearing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s plea in the Narada sting case.

Let us tell you that Mamta has challenged the order of not granting permission to file the affidavit in the Calcutta High Court.

A bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Hemant Gupta was scheduled to hear separate appeals filed by Mamata and state Law Minister Malay Ghatak today. Now the second bench will hear the matter.

Mamata Banerjee approached the Supreme Court after the Calcutta High Court refused permission to file an affidavit in the matter.

Mamata Banerjee was made a party to the case after the CBI arrested four Trinamool Congress ministers and she reached the CBI office.

Last month, four TMC ministers — Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, MLA Madan Mitra, and former Mayor Sovan Chatterjee — were arrested by the CBI in the Narada scam.

The case pertains to a sting operation, commonly known as the Narada sting operation.

In this, these former government employees were caught on camera illegally taking bribes from the person who stinted Samuel.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had said that it would hear the appeal filed by the Malay Ghatak on June 22.

The court had on June 18 requested the Kolkata High Court to hear the matter a day after considering the plea of ​​the state government and Ghatak against the order by the apex court.

On June 9, a five-judge bench of the Calcutta High Court, while hearing the CBI’s application for transfer of the Narada sting tape case from a special CBI court to the high court.

The court said it was the day of the arrest of the four leaders, Mamata Banerjee, and will make a decision later on considering the affidavit filed by her regarding Ghatak’s role.
