Lashkar-E-Mustafa Commander Hidayatullah Malik Arrested

Lashkar-e-Mustafa commander Hidayatullah Malik was arrested in Jammu, pistol-two grenades and a car were also recovered.

On Saturday, the police foiled a massive conspiracy by the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Mustafa to rock the temple town of Jammu.

Police arrested Lashkar-e-Mustafa commander Hidayatullah Malik near a shopping mall in Kunjwani, a crowded area adjoining the city. A pistol and two grenades have also been recovered from the terrorist commander.

Apart from this, a car has also been seized from him. At the moment, Hidayatullah Malik is being questioned. The arrest of Hidayatullah is seen as a big success for the police.

Confirming the arrest of Hidayatullah, IGP of Jammu Range, Mukesh Singh said that he had come to Jammu to carry out a major incident. We came to know from our system and were caught in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, another police officer said that he was hiding near a shopping mall on the Kunjwani bypass on the Jammu-Pathankot highway.

Electronic solutions and human intelligence were fully utilized to apprehend him. Anantnag police came to know last night that Hidayatullah was in Jammu and was about to carry out a major terrorist incident.

On Saturday afternoon, a joint squad of Jammu police and Anantnag police caught him.

According to eyewitnesses, Hidayatullah Malik tried to run away after seeing the police squad. He also tried to shoot, but the policemen showed bravery and wisdom and caught him.

Sources said Hidayatullah Malik had been living in Jammu for the second fortnight of January. He had kept his hideout in Bhatinda. On January 18, Anantnag police arrested one of his companions, Aiyaz Butt.

A pistol was found from him. He was later apprehended by his two other companions Rais Mir and Shakir Ittu by the Anantnag police. Two grenades were found from him.

After this, on January 29 and 30 by the Anantnag police, six accomplices of Hidayatullah were caught with weapons in two separate raids. His companions were seeking an IED blast in Anantnag.

On the basis of the clues found from them, the police came to know that Hidayatullah Malik has gone out of Kashmir and he is involved in a conspiracy to carry out a major crime in Jammu.

Hidayatullah had planned a car bomb blast in Pulwama:

Hidayatullah Malik had conspired with the Jaish-e-Muhammad and Hizbul Mujahideen militants to bomb a car in Pulwama last year.

The car bomb, which was manufactured from about 45 kg RDX, was recovered by the security forces on 29 May 2020. The car is said to be that of Adil, a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist. According to sources, he is a relative of Hidayatullah.

The conspiracy to attack the military establishment is also not denied:

There are three important military installations around where Hidayatullah is captured. Apart from this, Kaluchak is about four kilometers from there.

Kaluchak also has quarters of military officers and military personnel. On May 14, 2002, 23 people were killed by terrorists entering military quarters in Kaluchak.

These included 10 children, 8 women, and 5 military personnel. Therefore, the investigating agencies also suspect that he was involved in plotting an attack on a military establishment.

Jaish and ISI behind Lashkar-e-Mustafa:

Jaish-e-Muhammad and the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI are behind Lashkar-e-Mustafa. Lashkar-e-Mustafa has been formed under a conspiracy to give full local color to terrorism in Kashmir and save Jaish.

The activities of Lashkar-e-Mustafa were first felt in the valley during the last week of August 2020. This organization was commanded by Hidayatullah from Shopian.

Hidayatullah was initially associated with Jaish and was named Attacker Baba. When he took command of Lashkar-e-Mustafa, his code name was Hussain.

The terrorists of this organization had looted the cash van:

Terrorists of the same organization had looted Rs 60 lakh from a cash van of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Shopian during the first week of November 2020.

After this, on 10 November 2020, two terrorists involved in cash van robbery were killed by the security forces in Katpora (Shopian).

Car number can be fake:

According to sources, the Uttar Pradesh number (UP80-BN 2708) on the car recovered from the terrorist may be fake.

On the other hand, according to information received from Agra, according to ARTO Anil Singh, this number car was registered in the name of Pastor Kumar Ambush, resident of Gallana Road (Agra) in 2010.

In July 2020, a no objection letter was issued to Kanwaljeet Singh, a resident of Patiala (Punjab). The car was then registered with a different number in Punjab. More information will be available only after investigation.
