Lawaypora Encounter: Three Young Men Killed Were Terrorist

Lawaypora Encounter:  the only three young men killed were terrorists, will give solid proof to family in 10 days: IGP Vijay Kumar.

IGP Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar said that the three youths killed in the Lawaypora encounter were terrorists. Police will soon hand over solid evidence of the three youths’ links with terrorist organizations to their parents, who are repeatedly blaming their children innocently and the security forces.

As far as handing over the bodies of the three terrorists to their families is concerned, this is not possible in the wake of the covid-19 epidemic. Because if the dead are handed over to the family, then there is a possibility of thousands of people from the area gathering in their last visit.

This would be against the covid protocol. As soon as IGP Vijay Kumar arrived in front of journalists during the Road Safety Week celebrations in Srinagar, journalists started asking him many questions regarding the Lawaypora encounter.

Journalists told IGP that the family is still not ready to believe that their children were terrorists.

Not only this, but they had also urged the people of the valley to express their opposition in this regard by wearing black stripes.

On this, the IGP said that they have collected 60 percent of evidence related to the encounter. In the investigation so far, it has been proved that all three youths were in touch with the terrorists.

The IGP said that we are collecting more technical evidence. After getting all the evidence we will first show their parents so that they know that what we are saying is correct. The three young men killed in the encounter had been helping the terrorists for quite a while.

At the same time, when the reporters told the IGP that the father of one of the three youths demanded the dead body of their son, the IGP said that if we hand over the dead body, hundreds of people of the area will have gathered for cremation and this would-be against the covid-19 protocol.

We cannot endanger the lives of others. The bodies of the slain terrorists are being buried in the presence of family members. He said that the terrorists were using these youths as an underground worker.

He cited a youth caught in Anantnag last Sunday, saying that a pistol and grenade had been recovered from him. He was tasked by the terrorists to kill someone. He told that we are working on it.

These overground workers working as a network for terrorists have also been tightened. Meanwhile, the IGP spoke about the arrangements made for the Republic Day celebration that the terrorists would try to disrupt the celebrations, but the police would ensure that all such efforts were thwarted.
