On Tuesday, security forces in North Kashmir’s Nathipora Sopore killed two militants, including Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Pakistani commander Hamas alias Asrar.
The second terrorist killed with Asrar became part of the Lashkar-e-Taiba two days ago.
As of now, the security forces are continuing the search operation in the vicinity of the encounter site in the wake of some more terrorists hiding.
The administration has stopped the mobile internet service in Sopar as a precautionary measure. Hamam, along with his comrades, attacked him on 29 March in a meeting of the Municipal Counselors in Sopore.

Meanwhile, the police also brought the relatives of the militant Wasim Ahmed Lone from Hatlangu Sopore to the spot two days ago.

Seeing the terrorists continuously firing bullets, the jawans also intensified the counterattack, and both the terrorists were killed at around 7.45 am after sunset.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the slain terrorists have been identified as Pakistani terrorists Hamas alias Asrar alias Abu Saria and Wasim Ahmed Lone of Hatlangu Sopore.
An Assault rifle, an Insas rifle, and other accessories have also been found from them.
Hamas, had a seven lakh reward on him, was active for three years and there was a reward of seven lakhs on the Lashkar terrorist Hamas killed in Nathipora. He was active in North Kashmir since March 2018.
