Lt General BS Raju Has Vast Experience In Counter-Terrorism

Lt General BS Raju, in front of whom the terrorists also surrendered. General Officer Commanding Lt (GOC) General BS Raju of the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps is a military officer with long experience in counter-terrorism in Kashmir.

Wherever he was stationed, he tried to put terrorists on him. Due to his efforts, many militants in Kashmir have surrendered. Brought many misguided youth back into the mainstream.

Hence his familiarity with the common people of Kashmir is well known. Now he is ready to hold the important post of Director General of Military Operations (DGMO).

He will take up this new responsibility in New Delhi in April. Lieutenant General BS Raju was commanding the Victor Force of the militants who fought terrorism in South Kashmir before becoming Chief of the Chinar Corps.

Along with this, he has also commanded an army brigade in North Kashmir itself. During his deployment in Kashmir, he did commendable work in the direction of surrendering the terrorists at the encounter sites and bringing them to the mainstream under the ‘Maa Bula Hai’ campaign.

During his tenure, terrorist activities in Kashmir have also decreased significantly. A skilled strategist: Lieutenant General BS Raju is considered a skilled strategist of military operations.

He has played a key role in curbing infiltration while commanding a brigade along the Line of Control in North Kashmir.

He was then promoted to GOC of the Victor force of the army. After the death of terrorist Burhan Wani in the year 2016, when there was a period of violence in the whole of South Kashmir, he sensibly controlled terrorist and separatist activities.

he also conducted operations like ‘Maa Bula Hai’ and ‘Come to School Chalen’ to bring back the local youths recruited in terrorist organizations to the mainstream.

Majid Khan, a footballer who became a terrorist in Anantnag, had returned to the mainstream through his own efforts.

Encouraged by this, many parents of South Kashmir used to reach the Victor Force headquarters to bring their sons who became terrorists into the mainstream.

Now Lieutenant General DP Pandey will take over the Chinar Corps Lieutenant General BS Raju will take over the responsibility of DGMO in April.

After this, Lieutenant General DP Pandey will take over the responsibility of the Northern Command’s Chinar Corps.

BS Raju will hold the post of DGMO with Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh. Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh played a key role in the 2016 surgical strike.
