Major accident in Mumbai’s Kandivali: Three sanitation workers who fell in a septic tank died of suffocation.

Three sanitation workers, who went to clean a public toilet in Kandivali West’s Ekta Nagar in Mumbai’s Kandivali West, died after falling into a septic tank.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the fire brigade personnel who reached the spot took the sanitation workers to Shatabdi Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

According to information received from former local corporator Kamlesh Yadav, this toilet is surrounded by slums and people were complaining that the septic tank smells bad.

Someone from a community-based organization called an agency to oversee the issue. The agency sent three workers, who opened the lid, and one worker bent down to check.

Major accident in Mumbai’s Kandivali: According to an eyewitness, he slipped into the tank and other laborers helping him fell down.

Significantly, on March 2, four people died of suffocation while cleaning a septic tank in Kalbhor village of Pune, Maharashtra. This incident happened in the morning.

Firefighters reached the spot and helped. On February 25, a septic tank of a public toilet exploded in Thane’s Bhiwandi area.

Due to this, a 60-year-old man died and two people were injured. This accident happened in the morning.

As soon as the accident was reported, fire brigade personnel reached the spot, pulled out the injured trapped in the debris, and sent them to the hospital for treatment.

Firefighters said the septic tank exploded due to excessive pressure and gas.

Union Minister Narayan Rane and his MLA son Nitesh Rane on Thursday approached the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR registered in the Disha Salian case.

An FIR has been registered against them for allegedly spreading false information about the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian.

Mumbai Police had recorded the statement of father-son in this case last week. In his appeal, he said that the FIR registered against him, in this case, is politically motivated.

This petition has been filed through advocate Lokesh Jade. The High Court is yet to fix a date for a hearing in the matter.

In the FIR lodged against them, Disha’s mother has alleged that her daughter was defamed by these politicians while giving a statement about late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Disha Salian allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a building in the Malad area on June 8, 2020.
