Sixty percent of the nearly two thousand youths who came to show strength in the army recruitment on Wednesday at Jorawar Stadium in the Sujwa military area of ​​Jammu, whose villages are under the fire of Pakistan shelling.

These youths who showed courage and enthusiasm in the recruitment rally were from villages of Rajpura, Badi Brahmana, Ramgarh, and Ghagwal area of ​​Samba district.

The process of showing strength in the recruitment ground of marginal youth started on 20 February with the recruitment of youth of the district of Poonch.

Now the recruitment of the youth of the marginal districts will continue till March 5. About 28 thousand youths will try their luck in fourteen days of recruitment for these districts.

Young Kewal Kumar of the Rajpura area of ​​Samba says that his village is four and a half kilometers from the border. The youth of the area do not leave a chance to join the army.

A lot of youth of the area are admitted to the army. He told that when there was a strong fire from Pakistan, it seems as if the fight has started.

In such a situation, even the children of the villages know how to escape when the shelling starts.

They say that shelling is common for us, sometimes it also causes loss of life and property, in such a situation, it is our first priority to take revenge on the enemy.

Kewal says that he and his friends together prepare for every recruitment.

Forty thousand youths are trying their luck to become military: Nearly forty thousand youths are trying luck in continued army recruitment. More than half of these are from marginal districts.

Out of the ten districts of the Jammu division, Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri, and Poonch districts are adjacent to the international border and Line of Control along with Pakistan.

A large population of Kathua, Samba, Jammu district, bordering the 192 km international border in Jammu division, live in villages adjacent to the IB.

The government recently encouraged the people of 506 villages adjoining the IB by giving them 3 percent reservation in government jobs, business colleges.

Army’s PRO Defense Lieutenant Colonel Devendra Anand also believes that the youth of the frontier areas become good soldiers by joining the army. He says that these youth grow stronger in the electoral conditions of the border.

They are naturally prepared to face elections. He considered that the youth of the villages are also at the forefront of the recruitment ground.
