Media festival ‘Spandan’ concluded, questions raised on TRP’s blind race.
The closing ceremony of the annual media festival ‘Spandan’ organized by the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi, was a spectacular one.
Keeping in mind the challenges of the coronary, this three-day media festival was held on the online platform.
People from many countries took part in this festival. Thousands of people from India and abroad have seen and liked the live feed on Facebook and YouTube.
Expressing happiness over the success of the event, Director of the festival Prof. Charulata Singh said that Kovid-19 had imprisoned us in the houses but with the help of technical help in organizing the event.
Journalist department chairperson Prof. Siddharth Mishra said that such an event during Kovid’s era will infuse new energy in the students.
During this, the speakers in the media panchayat on ‘Information to Miss-Information: 25 Years of Indian Television News Industry’ said that truth is the soul of journalism.
Any fact can be judged with journalism only by keeping the test of truth. The popularity of Indian news channels has declined sharply due to factual information redundancy and the blind run of TRPs.
In the panchayat, journalists Anant Vijay, Satish K. Singh, and Sumit Pandey expressed their views. Surja Kishore, CEO of BBDO, India, said that advertising is a creative field in which human emotions are at the center.
Kishore said that the Coronacal has changed the advertising landscape but has also presented a new approach to looking at society, which has helped in creating social value-focused advertising.
In a mental health workshop, Dr. Tanushree Sangma emphasized avoiding depression in the coronary. At the writing workshop, famous poet Atif Khan explained the nuances of ghazal writing.
