Mehbooba Mufti Reaches ED Office In Srinagar

Mehbooba Mufti reaches the ED office in Srinagar, recorded statements on the money laundering case.

Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti reaches the Regional Office of Enforcement Directorate in Srinagar.

A team of officials formed to interrogate her is questioning her on the money laundering case. The statements of Mehbooba Mufti are being recorded.

According to information received from sources, Mehbooba Mufti reached ED’s regional office in Srinagar at around 11 am. The team of officers presents there has been questioning her regarding money laundering.

These statements of her are also being recorded. At present, the process of inquiry is going on.

After disclosing Mehbooba Mufti’s involvement in the money laundering case, ED issued a notice to her on 5 March and called her for questioning at ED headquarters in Delhi on 15 March.

Mehbooba, in response to the ED’s notice, filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on it. Taking cognizance of the petition, the court did not stay the order.

But granted relief to Mehbooba Mufti, directing ED not to force her to interrogate them till 19 March. She was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on March 22 following a court order.

On this too, Mehbooba did not appear in the Enforcement Directorate on 22 March.

However, she sent a letter to the ED suggesting that she was ready to answer questions through ED’s regional office in Srinagar or through video conferencing.

The ED summoned her to the Srinagar  Office today. Not only this, but a team of officials has also been formed to interrogate her in the money laundering case.

Terrorists looted two lakh rupees from the J&K Bank branch in Budgam district, three incidents have taken place in 12 days

In Kashmir, the incident of looting money from a bank by terrorists has become common.

The militants on Wednesday looted an amount of Rs 2 lakh from the Nasrullahpora branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Chandpora in Budgam district of Kashmir.

According to the information, five terrorists with weapons entered the branch of Nasrullahpora J&K Bank of Chandpora in Budgam district.

First of all, the terrorists removed the CCTV cameras installed in the bank. . During this time, the terrorists also fired some bullets towards the staff and the people posted in the bank.

This scared the staff and then looted Rs. 2.10 lakh from the cashier posted in the bank at the tip of the arms. The police have registered a case in this regard and have started a search operation to seize the terrorists.

There have been three incidents of bank robbery in Kashmir in the last 12 days. Earlier, on March 16, at the tip of the arms, 3.5 lakh rupees were looted from the branch of Grameen Bank located in Panjinara, Srinagar.

Terrorists have carried out an incident of Rs 2.24 lakh from the Grameen Bank branch of Keyer located at Tungmarg in North Kashmir on March 12.
