Militancy in Jammu: Police alert after terrorists were arrested, tenants will be verified again.

The information about Lashkar-e-Mustafa commander Hidayatullah hiding in a rented room in Bhatndi, Jammu for several days has raised the senses of the security forces.

Imtiaz and his female friend Overground Worker (OGW) had made their hideouts with Hidayatullah as tenants. They were living in a room on rent without police verification.

Hidayatullah confessed in police interrogation that militants in Jammu city have activated many of their OGWs. Students who are helpful in terrorists sometimes take the room on rent as businessmen.

In such a situation, now the Jammu Police is going to start the verification process of tenants from scratch. Instructions have been given to all police stations for this.

Militancy in Jammu: They have been asked to collect the details of all the tenants residing in their police station area. OGWs work as a support for terrorists by staying among the common people.

They provide facilities to terrorists to execute any terrorist incident. They send information of security forces to the terrorists from one place to another, as well as arranging arms, money, and safe haven for them.

These, along with the terrorists, are nothing short of a major challenge for the OGW security forces.

Due to heavy pressure from the security forces, the terrorists and their helper’s over-ground workers have fled from Kashmir and are now building their hideouts in Jammu.

It is worth noting that while giving houses or rooms on rent in the city, people do not get the tenant’s police verification done.

There have been many cases when the accused took shelter in a similar house, where his police verification was not done.
