Modi Became The Longest-Serving Non-Congress PM

Modi became the longest-serving non-Congress PM adds another record to the kitty. Breaking the record of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving Prime Minister of the BJP (Narendra Modi).

Another record has been recorded in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi has made a record as the longest-serving Prime Minister of the BJP. Breaking the record of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving non-Congress leader of PM. Even as a non-Congress leader, Narendra Modi has made a record of being the longest PM.

Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been the Prime Minister of the country for the longest time. Atal Bihari Bajpayee has been the Prime Minister of the country for 2,256 days in a row. On 19 March 1998, Atal Bihari Bajpai became the Prime Minister of the country, who remained the Prime Minister of the country till 22 May 2004.

Atal Bihari Bajpayee’s first term was from 19 March 1998 to 13 October 1999 while his second term was from 13 October to 22 May 2004. The current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been the Prime Minister for 2260 days continuously till now. Narendra Modi has become a non-Congress and BJP leader who has been the longest-serving prime minister.

Narendra Modi’s term has started on 26 May 2014, which continues till now.  Significantly, in the year 2014, BJP came to the center with a strong majority, then on 26 May 2014, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of the country. His first term ended in 2019, but once again, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won the record, and Narendra Modi again became the Prime Minister of the country.

History of Prime Minister’s term

After independence from 1947 to 2020, the country has got 15 Prime Ministers. The name of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is to remain the longest Prime Minister of the country. Jawaharlal Nehru remained the Prime Minister of the country for the first time i.e. for 6,130 days.

Indira Gandhi has been the country’s second-highest PM after Jawaharlal Nehru. Indira’s name as the first woman of the country has a record of being Prime Minister for 5,829 days. She remained PM continuously for 24 years from 24 January 1966 to 24 March 1977, for 11 years and 59 days.

After that, he took the post of PM from 14 January 1980 to 31 October 1984 for the second time. She remained in the post of PM for 4 years 291 days before the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

Dr. Manmohan Singh was the longest-serving PM after Indira Gandhi. Dr. Manmohan Singh remained Prime Minister during UPA-1 and UPA-2 from 2004 to 2014 i.e. 10 years. Manmohan Singh has a record of being Prime Minister for 3,656 days.
